    1. BASICS AND UNDERSTANDING (FOR FIRST TIME READERS)

ECOLOO is a sustainable sanitation solution that provides waterless, hygienic toilets combined with a managed service model. It replaces traditional flush, septic, and chemical toilets with a system designed for water-scarce, high-footfall, and infrastructure-constrained environments.

ECOLOO toilets operate without water or sewer connections. Human waste is safely collected and biologically processed— thus ensuring hygiene, safety, and zero environmental contamination.

ECOLOO is bio-sustainable sanitation system designed for public, institutional, household, and commercial use.

ECOLOO uses no harsh chemicals. It is an odourless, pipeless, non-digging solution that avoids septic or underground waste storage. It focuses on biological stabilisation, controlled handling, and circular waste management.

ECOLOO is suitable for public spaces, events and festivals, railways and transport hubs, construction sites, urban and peri-urban areas, water-scarce regions, etc. You name it we’ve got it!

    2. HYGIENE, SAFETY AND SMELL (THE MENTAL BARRIER)

Yes. ECOLOO is designed to meet public sanitation hygiene standards and is maintained by trained personnel using strict safety protocols.

No. ECOLOO toilets are engineered to be odour-free no matter how many times you use it.

Our aerobic bacterial culture takes care of the solid waste and the liquid waste providing a biologically stable and sealed environment with proper ventilation.

No. Users never come into contact with waste. The toilet flap opens when a user sits and closes when they get up. This also ensures that the user doesn’t get to see their own waste. ECOLOO fulfils all the sensory criteria.

Yes. ECOLOO toilets are designed for universal public use and can be adapted to include handicapped/ specially-abled/ wheelchair bound users as well.

Yes. ECOLOO systems are designed to align with applicable sanitation, health, and environmental guidelines.

    3. USER BEHAVIOUR AND EXPERIENCE (CALMING THE FEAR AROUND USING SOMETHING NEW)

ECOLOO doesn’t require users to pull on a million different levers or segregate waste, etc. Just lift the flap, sit down and let nature take its due course. Once done, users can use the attached hand bidet to wash themselves or just wipe themselves with the toilet paper provided to them. No fuss, no muss.

Yes. ECOLOO toilets are designed to feel familiar, clean, and dignified. There is clear signage pasted on the back of every door instructing users about the dos and don’ts of using ECOLOO toilets.

ECOLOO has different types of toilets. While the regular Eco Deluxe and Eco Superior have the sit/ squat option, ECOLOO’s latest invention includes squat and mini squat toilets; compliant with Indian squat toilet standards.

The system is robust and designed to handle common misuse. In the face of a major problem (which has never occurred till date in all the units sold), the entire toilet can easily be disassembled for servicing or repairs and then reassembled by any plumber.

The outer surface of the toilet can be cleaned as and when required. Cleaning frequency depends on usage and can be handled by any servicing agency. For the inner area, that contains the waste matter, 10 gms of bacterial culture (or a tablespoon) must be dissolved in a cup of lukewarm water and poured into the contained area once every month.

    4. OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING (CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING FOR GOVERNMENTS, EVENTS, AND INSTITUTIONS)D USING SOMETHING NEW)

ECOLOO toilets require no maintenance because there is no digging, no piping and no sewage to take care of. Customers can hire their own cleaning staff to maintain the outer surface areas of all ECOLOO units. The liquid fertilizer at the bottom of the compartment is highly concentrated because of ECOLOO’s waterless systems. Once the indicator at the bottom of a unit suggests that it is close to being full, the unit can easily be drained from a spout that is inbuilt in the unit itself. The fertilizer can then be sold as by-product to farmers/ agriculturists. It can also be used for landscaping purposes.

    5. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT (SUPPORTING OUR POSITION AS SUSTAINABILITY LEADERS)

ECOLOO saves water, prevents groundwater contamination, avoids chemical pollution, and enables circular waste management

Each ECOLOO unit saves thousands of litres of water per year compared to flush toilets. For example, the recently installed units in Tanzania, in collaboration with ABinBev, has saved

Yes. There is no leaching, septic seepage, or sewer overflow since the processing of the waste is done in a contained all-encompassed environment.

No. An environment friendly aerobic bacterial culture is used to process the waste.

ECOLOO’s carbon footprint is significantly lower, due to no water pumping, no sewage treatment energy and localised waste management.

There is no waste. The bio fertilizer left over can be used for agriculture/ landscaping purposes.

    6. COMMERCIAL AND REVENUE MODEL (FOR CITIES, REAL ESTATE, EVENTS AND RAILWAYS)

ECOLOO is a solution. A solution that provides a dignified and clean toilet, a service and an operations model.

Through its by-product (bio fertilizer), usage fees, service contracts, advertising, and partnership models.

None of the ECOLOO models require installation. The composite DIY pieces come with instruction manuals that can be used to put together the unit easily. The deployed model can then be maintained regularly by government bodies, private operators, sponsors, or PPPs.

It is vandalism free. The material used to build ECOLOO units is called FRP (Fibre reinforced Plastic). FRP is also used to make long lasting boats, aeroplanes, trains, built to last for decades. Since water usage is minimal to none because of the no flush system It is vandalism free. The material used to build ECOLOO units is called FRP (Fibre reinforced Plastic). 7. DEPLOYMENT AND SCALABILITY (FOR GOVERNMENT, CORPORATES, AND NGOS)

Deployment is rapid as compared to traditional toilet construction.

ECOLOO units require no digging and no piping. Each unit is modular and can be relocated with ease. They are suitable for temporary and permanent sites. ECOLOO has been designed for high-usage environments. They are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, such as heat, rain, and varied climates.

    8. COMPLIANCE, TRUST AND PROOF (FOR CREDIBILITY AND DECISION MAKERS)

ECOLOO has deployed 5000+ units across 25+ countries and is constantly foraying into new territory.

    Clients and partners include.

Yes, the technology has undergone rigorous testing and has received validation from several international authorities.

ECOLOO works in alignment with all government bodies, and other relevant public and private frameworks.

ECOLOO has been in operation since 2008. It has 18 years of operational experience in sanitation delivery.

ECOLOO provides operational support and rapid response on an immediate basis.

    9. COMPARISON AND OBJECTIONS (NEUTRALIZING COMPETITORS)

ECOLOO doesn’t use any form of chemicals to dispose off waste. Instead, it uses an aerobic bacterial culture that is environment friendly and results in a bio fertilizer that can be used for agricultural/ landscaping purposes. ECOLOO’s STP ensures no underwater ground contamination, and doesn’t cost millions of dollars.

No. It is a toilet that has a built in STP that processes the waste inside the chamber and churns out fertilizer. In this manner it saves water, avoids sewage infrastructure and also reduces pollution while rewarding the consumer with carbon credits and a bio fertilizer by-product.

Yes. Especially where infrastructure is stressed.

    10. CUSTOMISATION AND USE CASES

ABSOLUTELY. Units can be branded and adapted to whatever needs a consumer requires.

ECOLOO has 18 different models for consumers to choose from thus providing a solution for varied needs.

Most sanitation failures are operational, not technical. ECOLOO is structured to remove odour risk, cost uncertainty, maintenance burden, and reputational exposure from its partners. It is a low-risk sanitation deployment unit with performance accountability that has been built in.

Never. Most sanitation systems are designed as products. But ECOLOO is designed as an infrastructure. It has been designed to last for decades and not only for procurement cycles. ECOLOO is not in the business of only making money. ECOLOO is selling a solution. A solution that will revolutionise the world of toilets and the sanitation industry. Install it once. Use it for generations.
